October Happenings:
*Speaker from Anna Marie's: We had Maci come into the classroom two times and talk about Words are Not For Hurting. *Thursday, October 25: Vet Clinic Field Trip: We will be walking to Lake Country Vet Clinic for a field trip. We will learn about what it is like to be a vet and tour the clinic. Please have your child prepared for cold weather (coat, hat, gloves). We will walk unless it is raining. Permission is covered by a blanket form signed at the beginning of the school year for trips in Albany. *Pumpkin Explorations: In Math we will estimate how many seeds are inside of our pumpkin, how much each pumpkin weighs, and guess if it will sink or float. Look for the booklet coming home on Friday (10/26) and you can see the results. *Halloween Party: Wednesday, October 31: We will have a party and parade around the school. Please send your child's costume in a separate bag to help stay organized. This year we will have parties on Halloween, Valentines, & Christmas. I will ask some students to bring treats for each party. Some parents still like to send a treat even if they aren't on for that party, and that is okay to do. *Math: Please continue to help your child work on telling time to the hour and counting combinations of nickels and pennies. We have also reviewed adding and subtracting so fact practice would be great to work on.
