Happy Thanksgiving week!
Here are a few updates: *No School Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. School resumes Monday, December 2. *No spelling test this week. *Speak-up: Bring/Tell about something you are thankful for. A Speak-up sheet will come home today. Speak -up will be tomorrow! (11/26/19) *No Christmas gift exchange in our classroom. *Please check out the pictures tab for some new pictures. We did our shelters for the Three Little Pigs. The pictures are of the students working. Check out See Saw for the final house! You will have to ask if their house was blown down by the big bad wolf. *Please continue to read the homework sheets & small copied reading books with your child. On the backs of reading worksheets there are also fluency pages and games that are great to play at home. It's also very helpful to continue to read any type of literature TO your child each day. Thanks so much!! I am THANKFUL for all of your children! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

*Winter gear: Please label your child's snow pants and any other gear that's possible. It's also appreciated if your child has an extra pair of gloves and a hat in their bag or locker.
Please make sure your child brings shoes for in the classroom and PE each day. *Telling Time: We are currently working on telling time to the hour and will begin telling time to the half hour soon. For time on the half hour, we say "half past six", etc. most often, but also introduce "Six thirty". Digital time will be introduced much later in the year. We are also busy working on Frames and Arrows in Math. See if your child can show you what they are. *Writing: We are busy writing stories this week. We have been talking about the many versions of The Three Little Pigs. Your child will come home with their story next week. We will also put it on SeeSaw. *SeeSaw: Today I will send home directions on how to be connected to your child's digital portfolio called SeeSaw. We'll add to it in various ways throughout the year. Connection to the portfolio is optional. |
